Wall builders needed!

Urban Impact is looking for a group of individuals from a church or a construction company to help build a wall! At our St. Matthews location on 600 East North Avenue, there is a low hillside along the parking lot that is starting to erode. The project involves excavating the old stone, building a base, and then installing a new retaining wall with Versa block. Volunteer job site foremen needed

Urban Impact is looking for skilled individuals who would like to volunteer as a job site foreman for a day or a week at a time. We will have church and school teams as well as mission groups serving at our properties all summer long, and it would be beneficial to have skilled volunteers to lead some of these groups on select projects. Steps of Boaz: Somali Bantu of Pittsburgh

Looking for a crew of up to approx. 6 individuals to do some monthly cleaning at the afterschool program space. Adults and responsible, supervised teens are welcome. Day and time negotiable. Total time required – 3hrs. or less.

Sweeping and mopping – 2 large rooms, 1 smaller room, 1 long hallway

Wipe down children’s cubbies (for 15 kids)

Full cleaning of 1 men’s and 1 women’s restroom (toilets, floors, sinks, mirrors, surfaces)

Change out garbage. Dispose (if possible)

1 mop and 1 bucket provided

Multiple brooms and dustpans and other cleaning products provided
